Glacier National Park
Montana
About a million acres of the Northern Rockies on the Canadian border, with more than 700 miles of trail, a string of glacier-carved lakes, and the Going-to-the-Sun Road crossing the Continental Divide at Logan Pass. Every leg here is on the US side and inside the park, so the $35-a-car entrance fee applies (plus $100 a person for non-US residents); no vehicle reservation is needed in 2026, and the high country is reachable roughly from July to mid-October.
